A Trip to Helena... My Growing Baby Girl!

A couple weeks ago we went to Helena with Jason on a business trip. It was great to see the capital of Montana for the first time!

Also it was like suddenly Libby decided to start growing up during and right after our trip there.

1st: She sat in a highchair for the first time at Applebee's in Helena.

2nd: She was given a bumbo for Valentine's Day and sits so well in it.

3rd: She started holding her bottle and on the second day was already doing it one handed.

4th: She decided to sit all by herself at the library.

5th: She likes to "feed herself" (by holding her own spoon) and can make a big mess.

Solid Foods And Other Things

Libby starting eating rice cereal this last week. It isn't really solid foods, but it is not just formula either. It was so fun the first day. She kept arching her back reaching for the bowl as Jason was feeding her, and of course our little miss independent had to hold the spoon. Jason and I have to constantly battle trying to get the food in her mouth and the spoon away so we can do another load full before she has the death grip on the spoon or flings the food all over the place before we are able to get it in her mouth. It has made mornings a little more interesting for me, since I try and feed her the same time I eat. Sadly this has not improved her sleeping through the night. I think it may have made things worse, but we are still hoping for one night were we both can get at least 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep(maybe I am hoping a little high- 4 hours would be nice too).

This is a video from our phone, so it isn't the best quality. Still so stinking cute though.

Loves Rice Cereal!!
We also went to the Museum of the Rockies where we were escorted out through the last exhibit to the front lobby, because I was feeding Libby her bottle (no food or drink). It was pretty fun before then though, and after Libby was done eating we went back and finished looking at everything.

Loving Her Walker

She is still not rolling over which is driving me crazy. I am convinced she could do it if she really wanted to, but sadly I don't think she realizes the benefits. Plus she doesn't really like being on the floor to much without me right there with her. I spend more time than I should with her in the walker, because she loves it so much and I am able to get stuff done around the house this way.

My new favorite thing she does is "talk" in her crib in the morning when she wakes up. It makes my day way more pleasant waking up to a content baby! Her are some more things that happened over the last couple weeks.

My little wild child can't even sit still for a photo!!

She loved this puppy at The Bowman's.

The Bowman's little girl buried her in stuffed animals. :->

VeggieTales and laying in her sleeper is her new nap time thing... sadly it is the only show that will calm her down/distract her enough to sleep. She just screams if I try and watch or do anything else around naptime.

This was a long night for Libby and I. She looks asleep here, but she is awake watching VeggieTales.

New Hair

I got my hair cut a few days ago and I love it!!
Other than that not really much has been going on.

Libby In The Snow With The Dogs

I decided to take the dogs outside with Libby today, since it wasn't so cold. This is what she did!! It is so cute that I couldn't stop laughing even when I watched it for the third time!!!

Libby Growing Up Fast

The last couple of weeks have been so eventful for Libby's development. She can grab and hold toys, can prop herself up pretty high while on her tummy, tried to hold her own bottle, a tooth is trying to come up, and to top it off she rolled over from her belly to her back for the first time today. It is so fun to watch her grow!!

Thanksgiving and Christmas Decorations

This year we were so happy to have the Stone family and my mom and dad over for Thanksgiving. We had a lot of fun eating, hanging out, and playing games. I really loved seeing Lily and being able to look forward to Libby going through those developmental milestones. It was great to see Katie after so long and catch up.

So Cute!!
We didn't really have time to decorate for Christmas until this last week, since Jason was pretty busy at work with Black Friday and I have been sick with a cold. I loved decorating though and really enjoyed watching Libby and Daddy play with the train together.
