Pancakes

I wanted to find a pancake recipe that was simple. The whole reason I am trying to learn to bake is to find healthier alternatives to mixes and processed food, so this pancake recipe found on Yummly was pretty simple, delicious, healthy-ish, and just what I was looking for.

Pancake Recipe
  • 2 tbsps sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour (I used whole wheat white flour.)
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tbsps vegetable oil
    • Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt into a large bowl. In a medium bowl, whisk milk, eggs, and oil. Pour wet ingredients into dry; whisk for 10 seconds. Don't overmix. Grease skillet and set on medium heat. When hot, pour on 1/3 cup (1/4 cup works too or whatever) batter per pancake. Flip when small holes appear (bubbles), about 1 1/2 minutes. Cook second side until brown and repeat until batter is gone.

Yum!

Ready to "whisk" the dry and wet ingredients.
Seriously yum and a lot!
Things I've Learned
  • There is something so nice about completing a simple recipe that doesn't really take a bunch more work than throwing a mix and water together.
