I am going to try some of these recipes this week. Today I made the Barbecue Pork Recipe.
Barbecue Pork
Recipe
- 1 (3 to 4 lb) boneless pork shoulder roast (Boston butt), trimmed
- 1 (18 oz) bottle barbecue sauce
- 1 (12 oz) can cola soft drink
- Place pork in a lightly greased 6 qt. slow cooker; pour barbecue sauce and cola over pork. Cover and cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours. Transfer pork to a cutting board; shred with 2 forks, removing any large pieces of fat. Skim fat from sauce, and stir pork into sauce.
Things I've Learned
- I may need to drain the crock pot a bit before pulling the pork. It was a little soupy.
